Accommodation in nature, please:
You will get it at Saeby Harbor

Beautiful campsite at Sæby Harbor can now offer you even more nature than before. Accomodation in nature is luxury for many holidaymakers.

A short time ago, the campsite, located on the edge of the Kattegat Sea, acquired the neighboring land to the north with 200,000 coastal square meters. Today, there are 29 summer houses, forest and other beautiful nature that is difficult to access for nature lovers. The idea behind the purchase is to connect the newly acquired land with the campsite and make the whole area more attractive for both holiday home owners, campers and other nature lovers.

Coastal nature is luxury

As one out of five campsites in Denmark, Hedebo Strand Camping has also received a grant from Denmark's Business Promotion Board, and with it in hand, Eric Christensen and Lene Krüger get help to investigate the possibilities of matching the demand for accommodation close to nature.

A concrete plan must be drawn up for the entire area with the campsite and the newly acquired land, which is in line with the wishes of more and more holidaymakers. Where especially the younger target group and tourists from e.g. the Netherlands and Germany consider themselves more as "outdoors" than as "campers".

- We are very happy about the opportunity to get fresh eyes on the layout of our campsite, so that it and our new piece of land will fit together well and become more accessible to nature lovers. Both current and new customers demand more nature, and with our very coastal location, we have the ideal opportunities for this. Now we have to find out how the guests can spend nights closer to nature in exciting and alternative ways. There is especially international demand for it from countries where our kind of open and coastal nature is pure luxury, says Lene Krüger.
