Popular chef at Café Hedebo
There is elbow room and high to the sky in Lisser's new surroundings at Hedebo Strand Camping. She has for many years run Fish & Grill in Frederikshavn, now she also opens the doors to Café Hedebo. Both customers on the campsite and people from the local area are looking forward to it.
- We are incredibly happy that we have persuaded Lisser to take over the lease of our café, says Eric Christensen, who owns the campsite a few kilometers north of Sæby.
When it became clear during the 2022 season that Café Hedebo would lack a tenant from 2023, he immediately took hold of Lisser, who runs the very popular grill bar Frederikshavn Fisk & Grill.
With Lisser, as usual, it was not far from idea to action - she was ready to run both a grill bar in Frederikshavn and a café in Sæby. Therefore, in recent months there has been a lot of activity at the otherwise closed campsite, because Café Hedebo must have a new interior before the start of the season on March 31.
- I think it is really exciting to put structure on everything here at Café Hedebo. I have been working on shift plans, I have changed the interior so that work can be more efficient. I have adapted our popular menu from the harbor in Frederikshavn to a café on a campsite on the beach in Saeby, says Lisser.
Really good food
In addition to the customized menu from Frederikshavn Fisk & Grill, Lisser also aims to get more people to hold their party at Hedebo Strand Camping, which has 2 party halls and 16 cabins for guests.
- I am looking forward to getting it up and running and hope we can attract people from Frederikshavn and Säbynites in addition to the many campers. People have always been very welcome here on the beach, the playgrounds and the mini golf, even if they don't live on the site. Now they can also have a cup of coffee TO-GO or a shooting star with fresh fish, smiles Lisser.
